Greetings all!
My old ranger has been running great, but I had been trying to track down a high frequency vibration issue. Narrowed it down to the driveline and my mechanic thought that it was most likely a driveshaft imbalance.
I checked on having my old shaft refurbished, but after I found Fort Wayne Clutch and Driveline, I decided to just buy a new shaft.
It turned out that they have an overstock on Ford Ranger driveshafts for the 123" wheelbase, 4X4 with the 3.0 and 4.0 engines, which resulted in that particular application to be available at a good price.
I was very pleased with my experience with them. Great customer service. Might be a good resource for the folks on the forum.
