My lil '99 4x4 is making a roar when being driven. I thought it was tire noise, but I swapped to stock wheels and tires today and the roar is just as loud? I can't tell which end or side! What would be the possible culprits besides wheel bearings (AGAIN)?

what type of wheel bearings did you install?
It sounds like you suspect them
Cheap wheel bearings are worse then installing anything at all, they can last a week or a few months

I installed ford wheel bearings/hubs. Are there some other hubs that are equal or better? It didn't silence the roar. Definitely not a fan noise. Whoop whoop whoop with speed changes. I checked trans fluid, but haven't had a chance to check rear ends. I did swap out the goofy vacuum hubs too! What terrible design that was; not a proud ford moment! Hopefully I'll have a chance to tinker more this week and get the roar gone? Thanks for the tips!
