I'm assuming the MAP sensor is what feeds the vacuum reading to the ECU. I've been live monitoring my 2000 4.0 OHV since I put it in about 600 miles ago.

I wouldn't have noticed it because the truck runs great but when I turn the AC on or anything involving the vacuum it goes between 10.3/10.7 and is about 14 during idle which still seems low. I notice no difference in running at all you would think a jump between 11 and 14 would cause some sort of disruption but it does not. Idle stays the same.

I know where every vacuum line is on this truck and will trace them so my question is what else could be wrong being there is no change in idle at all when I see the dip? Is the MAP sensor accurate or should I get a gauge?

I would have only thought to check if something was running funny but it runs incredibly well. I came across this by accident playing with the torque app on my phone.

The 4.0 OHV never had a map sensor
manifold absolute pressure sensor, the last year I saw one of those was 1990 which was also the last year of the 2.9L 
Your Torque Pro app must be calculating/guesstimating intake vacuum?
This is strange!! Now I need to know how you can monitor vacuum!!!!!!!!!

torque pro must be calculating the manifold vacuum based on airflow rates?
Its pretty neat however its catching the info.
Would be really cool to have a vacuum gauge hooked up and see how accurate TP is!!
Isn't it fun watching live data?
