Got a 99 with a 3.0, came out of a store to a puddle of coolant yeasterday. Traced it to a pinhole in a small metal tube on top of the intake manifold. There are two of these next to each other and feed from hoses coming off the heater hose. Are they replaceable? Do they have a name? Anyone have this problem before?

Welcome to F-R, if you are handy with your phone could you snap a pic?

How big are these hoses? If they are the small ones I think they are (going to the throttle body) you might not need them being in Arizona. They are for de icing the throttle body in cold weather.

Don't do anything yet till we see the hoses in case it is something more essential.

Let us know-

Thank you, I'll get pics up tomorrow but yes they are the small ones and i doubt necessary here in Az. Was really wondering if the lirrle pipes are press fit or I'd have to replace the manifold. Thanjks again.

If it is these hoses, safe to block them or tie them together with a tube. I myself would put something solid in them and hose clamp them. You can cut them as short as they can be. Looks like since they come from the heater core hoses it would be best to block them because circulating them through a small piece of hose might take away some of the flow through the heater core resulting in less heat. Like you need it anyway where you are!
