I'm gonna see if I can get an oiling map today but in the meantime I am dying to understand how the 4.0 OHV top end gets it's oil.

I've studied the heads, rocker pedastals and hardware and I'm just missing it evidently.

I see a lot of complaints about the system and want to understand why.

 Thank

Apparently on a design standpoint.. the only complaint I am really familiar with is the lack of oiling at or near the rocker guide rods themselves. They seem to get mushroomed or bludgeoned to some extent which of course changes the tolerances and the lack of performance dwindles from there. Most other things I've seen just seem to be abuse or lack of care by owners in general.

Some other things just inherent to Fords in general, not so much because of it being a Ranger. There was a pretty good write up before that was on TRS but they've changed some stuff and I can't find that same article anymore. I have it saved as a .PDF file but I've not seen how to post that kind of media file on the site. pics yes.. documents.. nada
