Check this out. Because of these we have to sift through pages upon pages if we want to search for a Ranger 302 on e-bay. Go ahead, try it. I dare you LOL.

Funny, get rid of the oversized soles and these would be great for Rattle Snake Hunting or just a walk in the deep brush during Snake seasons.

Was looking for one specifically a dude said he was going to list. A gen 1 sleeper, silver SCSB 85 mustang roller motor last one with carb. Grey interior, power window mod, like 80% perfect.

I really want it but the timing for the money isn't what I need I won't have anything real to spend till about October and that is if we don't have some disaster family wise. He needs money for projects. Sick of borrowing from myself.

I've always secretly loved first gens, just hard to find one in SCSB without that horrible red interior LOL. I'd trade loyalties in a minute if I could find a viable gen 1 when the timing is right.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I have my eye on a 85 SCSB right now thinking of making it our next build
Ecoboost gen I? 5.4 RWD? I can't decide........ get the truck, bring to shop, let it talk to me
Apparently the single cab short beds are the ones to go after? If people like those so much why don't they all just drive chopped BII's!!
There is also a 83 Ranger on Copart right now....clean clean built in March so only 3 months of production before that........was hoping I found Ranger #1 LOL

Most of them were red interior unfortunately. Grey was rare, there was a blue also but red was the popular one. I apologize if anyone actually likes red interior LOL.

Looks stock eh? Those look like 85 or 86 Mustang GT rims which would mean they are 4 lug?

The 10 holes look sweeet on it! I wonder if they are 4 lug or 5 (that's if any one makes aftermarket 5 lugs)

What year is that motor? Looks like it's a earlier era fox motor. And is it a aod behind it?

Yup AOD, it's an 85 roller cam motor. 85 was the first roller cam for the mustang but still had a carb. 86 was injected but out of the 2 motors people seem to like the carb version better. 86 was the first roller/FI combo and the last 4 eyed fox.

I owned an 86 GT, they almost called the police on me at the dealership... I was driving a 4 cyl. fairmont this was about 88 and I passed the GT on my way home at a little lot, pulled over and took the GT for a test drive.

1-1/2 hours later they called my home phone where I assured them they were not getting the car back and I would come up to sign the papers. It was a full 9,342.5 times faster than the fairmont I couldn't stop sliding around.

I still have a pic somewhere but I'll have to scan it.

Poop I just did some fact checking and I saw more than once that the automatic 85 5.0 didn't have a roller cam? This is too deep LOL I give up.

Evidently I have a messed with 5.0 from a mountaineer was supposed to be a 97 but it had the EGR tube AND non P heads. 410 says that was not a combo so it has been partially rebuilt or wasn't the motor that came in the mounty.

ANYWAY it goes I give up LOL it seems like there is NOTHING set in stone ever.

Remember the 5.0 Police Interceptor Mustang was a distributor mill. The police radio frequency messed with the electronics otherwise.
