I'm looking for a ford ranger REAR sway/stabilizer bar.  I know people have used explorers and bronco2s but I'm looking for a Ranger specific rear sway bar.

I do not care if it has mounts, bushings, or bolts... really just the bar.  I can get the hardware locally from the dealer.  I do not have any junkyards near me at all or I'd go and start checking under some rangers.

I will pay for shipping to get the bar to me and whatever the cost of the bar +your time to pick one up for me.  Would prefer that it's not all rusted through (obviously...lol)

Any help would be great.

Thanks,-Nigel

Nigel, I am assuming you want a stock sway bar (for whatever reason).  Here is a link to a Hellwig aftermarket kit that is priced pretty good... and it is probably tons better than the stock sway bar.

Hellwig Rear Sway Bar

And I can check the local yard(s) to me and grab one if I find it. More interested in helping out than worrying about my time. I'll try to hit the yards this week and check. Ill see if i can at least get a base price for one too make sure its within budgets..

Awesome appreciate the help and the links!
Actually if you go to the yard do you mind seeing if they do in fact have the bracket to the axle?  I can get the bolts rear bracket from ford but it appears that the actual bracket part that the bushing sits on via the axle is what I can't source.

*Edit:
Wanted to note that I did look and consider the hellwig version but that puts the bar behind the rear diff which would make it a pita to work on.  I like the OEM location because it's up front and doesn't interfere with anything.

I've attached a picture.  The two parts on the far left.  Those are what sits on the axle and then the bushing sits on top.  I believe they are specific via left/right side.

Interesting. I was not aware the Ranger sway bar was mounted forward of the differential. Gonna have to check that out.

Welp it looks like I found one!
I emailed about 27 different ebay auction dudes for what they had listed as a rear stabilizer bar.  One of them got back to me and went through a bunch of stuff to get one round up for me.

It's a tad rusted but he said everything is solid.

I will replace the bushings/links, bolts and top cover brackets.  I really needed the middle plates and rear pieces since those seem to be difficult to find.

The bar should clean up well and I will paint it so it should look new.

There are two different links.  One for a 2wd and one for the 4x4.  I'm at a weird part because my truck is lifted so I want to say the 4x4 is what I need, but I'm not ordering those until this comes in.  From his pictures those are the 4x4 links so I will at least be able to test fit the entire setup before replacing anything which is good.  Not even sure if this was 100% needed but finding out that it didn't have the rear bar bothered me..hahah

Will update in the general thread if this all works out so hopefully it can help others in the future should they choose to want to go that route and add a bar.  I know the BroncoII would have been the way to go since it's a super thick bar but it's next to impossible to find anything for them.

Awesome! Glad you found what you needed. I didn't realize there were more than one option.
