There is a sub group that does the Japanese PR, I used to get Japanese Transformers from that group. There def is a whole culture of people out there into that kinda thing.

Heck, even when Transformers was Japanese only, one of the post G1 series - Masterforce - is very PR like..

Michael Bay even used a type of Transformer from Masterforce - Pretender.
