The big one started out the size of the small one. The calibrating fluid I work with attacks this non descript rubber. I have soft viton replacements on the way, low durometer rubbers do a better job sealing low or no pressure applications.

I believe it.  I've dealt with many o-rings, square ones, different materials, different lubes.  We have a local place that is awesome, just walk in, and they have it.  And I have just walked in many times!

If you own a 7.3 diesel then you get familiar with O rings real quick
When the 7.3 was made there was still sulfur in the diesel, now there is not and all the O rings need to be replaced, there are like 80 something O rings on a 7.3........

The top o-ring reminds me of back in the 1980s when they started putting 10% ethanol in the gas.  I worked at John Deere at the time, and we sold chain saws and weed trimmers (Echo and Deere). Oh yeah, every rubber piece in that fuel system puffed up like a kid on steroids!  I sold a LOT of parts for those things before the manufacturers changed the rubber compound.
