So I hit the remote I have in the kitchen window for the garage, the left side comes up a few inches then stops.

?

I went out to "help" it and when opened one of the extension springs came rolling in to the driveway both ends busted. Yes my garage is so old I have extension springs and not torsion springs.

I do some research and there are like 6 or 7 different "weights". Says the end of the springs are color coded.

What is the weight code for rust?

I read that if you cannot determine the old spring you have to weigh the garage door.

?

My bathroom scale is glass. This isn't going to turn out good I can tell already!
