Due to popular demand, I have introduced multiquote.

If you want to quote, say 3 posts, press the MULTI QUOTE button on the first post you want to appear in your new post -  the screen will refresh.

Press the MULTI QUOTE button on the second post you want to appear in your new post -  the screen will refresh again.

Press the QUOTE button on the third & last post you want to appear in your new post - the editor will appear with all three quotes.

You can quote posts from ANY forum or topic on the board - just navigate around pressing MULTI QUOTE as you go, but come back to the forum you want to post in before pressing QUOTE!

You can always edit the final post to shorten or remove quotes you have included.

I have now made the multi quote function a little more sophisticated - when you click on the multi quote button the screen no longer jumps about as it refreshes - instead the button you have clicked changes to "Already quoted" and is grayed out.

Otherwise it works exactly the same.

Due to some unexpected behaviour on the live board, I have stepped back to the previous method of multi quoting until I can suss out what is going on!

"until I can suss out what is going on!"

"suss" = what ?

The multi-quote worked, is there a problem ?

I have sussed out the problem and it now seems to be behaving itself!

Now the MULTI QUOTE and the LIKE buttons do not make the page jump about and have been refined to avoid quoting the same post more than once.

Keep the feedback coming - many thanks for helping make this the best online experience and keeping my little grey cells busy!

Chris, Just tried to use the like button on 1Qaz post on his tranny rebuild. It show 2 likes and when I push the Like it does not register.

Sorry for any extra work, I can't image how much work it takes to not only keep the site running but all, to keep the members happy.

Thanks

Sorry - was trying to get it working for Don &co on old Windows versions as well as the new editor - a difficult juggling of logic to do two different things in two different ways and also make sure that guests can't use it.....

I think it is untangled now :'(
