I purchased my '98 Ford Ranger in the fall of 2000.  I think it had about 20,000 when I got it.  I'm still driving it as long as it will run.  So far, there's 294,000+ miles on it.  I'v had to have the clutch replaced in the summer of 2017 (about 285,000 mi.).  I've just had my first headlight to go out.  Had a heck of a time replacing that bugger.  I just replaced the turn signal relay after having to practially stand on my head to do so.  Don't they make anything easy on this truck?  I've about decided to call it the Frankenstein model.

Hi and welcome to F-R!

Sounds like you really got your money out of your truck!

Most of us find a lot easy on the Rangers, ask as many questions as you need and we will probably be able to help :)

Welcome!  Owning older Rangers is certainly a labor of love.  Every bit of work you put into it makes it more and more you.

there are easier headlights to replace that is for sure
Turn signal relay? I thought the turn signal relay was built into the multi function switch. The flasher is easy to replace without standing on your head! Glad you found the forum, next time maybe we can share some tips to make it easier
Getting 250K from a clutch = you are a good driver who doesn't keep his foot on the clutch pedal while stopped
welcome!
