I put the motor transmission transfer case and rear-end out of the 1997 eddie Bauer 302 wiring harness everything into my 1998 ranger xlt splash extended cab 4wd and it runs fine but the power in the cab and rear end ain't power to back brake lites and the windows go down but won't go up and down right and what should I do to make it right

You have pulled the wiring harness out of the 97 Explorer and put it in the 98 Ranger? If it was a clean replacement then there is some troubleshooting to do with the Explorer harness. Sorry but you have a lot of wiring tracing in you future. If I remember what 410Customs posted about Explorer to Ranger conversions the two models you mention are not plug and play but require some changes in pinouts with the various plugs. You will need a full wiring diagram of both models to find the differences and change the plug pinouts to get everything to work.
