Hello everyone glad to meet new fellow ranger owners. I have a 2000 ford ranger 4.0 I'm looking for performance parts. I need headers. I upgraded my pistons 30 over and a high torque cam. Not sure what else I can do to it. Thanks again

Welcome to our forum, adriane79!

@Tony: I really don't think a supercharger on a 3.0L is a good idea...

I already knew the answer. The 3.0 can be built up to the Taurus SHO specs but the $$ it cost does not justify it.  I would rather start with something from the factory that had the HP.

The OP has already invested internals, he's committed to making his bed and laying in it now.

I always get that response when I ask, "what are you using the vehicle for, and what do you want it to do?" My reasoning is because if your the type of guy whose looking for a one night stand, don't tell people you're looking for a serious or long term relationship.

Is it your main or daily driver? if so, obviously reliability is prioritized and usually budgets are a little higher for doing things without cutting essential corners.  Toys on the other hand are sometimes different.  Built with other purpose in mind but with fun overriding the mindset, just hoping the fun lasts before it breaks [although I personally have not yet understood the concept of being so rough on a vehicle it breaks yet].  Is it a SHTF vehicle that is also used for weekend outings etc...?  Are you tracking this vehicle or racing it? I seem to recall a ranger owner on here that had a fun looking drift Ranger awhile ago.

Building from what you want it to do is a lot different than a purist or maintenance standpoint too.  Lot of guys just want to see how long they can keep from buying a new vehicle at all.

@12North: the drift Ranger... are you referring to ATX/Dreaded Sled?  Haven't seen him on here in quite a while (a year or more).

I could be.. I'd have to look up the S/N to be absolute but that name seems familiar to me.  He was an interesting guy.

Yes, he was.  His real name was Mike.  I really liked him... and his truck. :-)

IIRC, he was going out on his own and starting a business... drift trucks I believe.  I've been self-employed and you have NO free time.  I wish he would drop in and say hello once in a while...

It happens, probably more our fault than having Jim memorize the 2200+ products we currently have. ; )

Oddly, the 5th Gen Ranger groups make up our 3rd and 4th largest referral groups, sometimes 2nd and 3rd.
