Hello I've been a Ranger owner for a while it's just had to sit on the back burner. It has a nice body and interior but high miles (230k+) and various running issues, wasn't maintained well, but finally circumstances will see it pulled off the back burner soon. It's the Sport, 2001, 4.3 with a 5 speed. I'm told the Sport isn't common, and is a nice package of a truck which it seems to be. I know I see a lot of Rangers on the streets, I've yet to see another Sport. Worst case scenario is replace the motor, I think for $650 I did all right. I really enjoyed driving it after it had major brakes and steering issues addressed, new suspension, fuel pump and line, etc before it started having major power loss. It's had to sit since major coolant loss somewhere between the engine and firewall, can't even see it let alone get at it, and other things were priority. I'm all ears regarding the virtues and drawbacks of the Sport, I've  done research but doesn't seem to be much out there.

Cool welcome to FR!
