Being more than a little familiar with battery design and implementation, I went with Optima for my truck.  I have been happy.  A couple of years in, sitting for over a week, will turn immediately over in below 0 weather.

The EarthX battery in my bike is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry.  It is not as forgiving of the cold, but I don't ride in the cold, and really all you have to do it turn the key and let it sit for a couple of minutes.  Works great, is 80% lighter than OEM, more power for that. 

This subject is like tires or oil.  Everybody will have their own opinion, and most people will never change it either...
