Managed to shatter my wrist a few weeks ago and did not want to do an oil change so took my 5.0 Ranger to a national chain quick lube.  1st time in decades that I've paid for such minor work.

1st problem -- Sign in sheet was twice as expensive as sign posted on side of building.  Only after I challenged the price did they agree to honor the posted price.

Then, the BS started.

My 4 month old premium Auto Zone battery failed their test.  Under 100 CCA!

My freshly rebuild transmission "desperately" needed a full service!

My 2 year old fuel filter was badly clogged!

My year old air filter was clogged!

Truck was unsafe to drive with my 4 month old windshield wiper blades!

At that point, I nearly lost it, interrupted the guy and made it clear I just wanted an oil change, was only going to get an oil change and was prepared to leave.

How many people get suckered how often by these thieves?

There really should be a law.
