Not all battery manufacturers make batteries for Automotive use, however less than 5 make batteries for Automotive use; including that used for RV/Marine use, heavy duty or tractor/agriculture use, hi-lows, and solar type batteries under one roof.
I know Exide does the aforementioned but I'm not positive if they make interstate. In fact despite some differences in marketing to function; I am positive Interstate makes Optima batteries and they may make Exide as well.
I know I don' particularly care for the blue battery theme Exide uses but for some reason, Interstate and it' green really seems like a cheap battery to me and the two ive ever had in my time didnt exactly wow me.
Doesn' help when their mantra is every driveway mechanics yard has 2-3 of them piled up always it seems and they chase the NASCAR scene exclusively.. I don' know what to make of that as an opinion really but.
My exide agm, I've left the key on in the backwards position from 11pm to 9am several times over the last couple years and never been a dead battery yet. Until I find something better.. kinda brand loyal at this point.
