The RetroFit Source http://www.theretrofitcource.com is a great source. You can do a retrofit that is ambitious, or one that is fairly straight forward. Wiring them up is easy. They will sell you the ballasts, igniters if the set you pick needs them, relays and a complete harness. It literally turns it plug and play. The DS2 projectors will fit in the stock housings with minimal work. The went into my fogs with only a little trimming on the bulb mount. My headlights have the FX2's, a bigger projector, more light, but they take more modification. There is a gentleman over on FRF that does them if you want, he did my headlights. I did my fogs. Please whatever you do, do not put anything in your halogen reflectors other than halogen bulbs. LED's, HID's nothing should go in them. Not only will you get a crappy beam, but you will get glare, not to mention it is illegal. Also on here, Anthony @sheltonfilms did a retrofit on his truck and posted an excellent write up at => Retrofit Also, not all projectors are created equal. The ones from The RetroFit Source are excellent. Others may or may not be as good. I have been running theirs for years, headlights and fog lights, with no issues, excellent light projection, very happy. Last edited on Wed Feb 14th, 2018 10:37 pm by Ordinary Biker |
