I am in the Market for a Headlight Replacement because these OEM Headlights just aren't making it happen anymore, just cant see at night, especially when it is a little wet out. The Roads I run at night have a lot of animals crossing, without them using the crosswalks, LoL, but if you cant see them you can avoid them.
So what I am asking is who has done the projector headlight swap ?
What components have you used, i.e. Housings, Projectors, Bulbs - HID vs LED ?
How much work modifying the housing with new projectors ?
Also, do we do LED Projectors or HID ?
I have asked this same question on other Ranger Sites and have gotten replies to check out the Retrofit Store, or buy some of these projector or that one and put them together. These responses are ok, and put me in the right area but I plead stupidity... or maybe just scared to attempt the mod to my own housings !
Any info about swapping Projectors, choices between LEDs and HIDs, and any info about someone that may do it for a reasonable price... please post, I need new headlights and projectors are the most logical choice.
Here is a list of what I am thinking for parts: (Remember cost is a consideration but the actual light output and the light pattern in front of the vehicle is more important) !
1) I chose these Housings for the look I think I wanted: Spyder Projector Housing, there are different ones out there, but these are what I was looking at.

Remember these will get a different Projector !
Since I will be changing out the projectors, I'm guessing the housings may not be a problem, maybe any will do ! Maybe my housing choice will be based on what I like vs Price !
2) I was told to get these Projectors, and mod the above housings to accept them.

I was also watching a Video on U-Tube, and the output of the "Koito Bi-LED Projectors" were by far the best even against the Miromoto.
What the light pattern will be mounted in a 2003 Ranger, is another thing.
