Was just thinking the same thing. pelicanman why change so early using synthetic?
I'm on Valvoline high mileage 5w-30 semi blend and I have been changing at 5k for probably the last 90k...lol
Checkout bobtheoiler forum. Tons of information on that site plus the general talk is that 3k mile oil changes are too soon.
