First step would be to verify the cost of the SkyJacker (SJ) Springs and the fitment ! There is a Thread about the SJ Springs and the Bolt sizes vs which Rangers they will fit. Then if the SJ Spring will not work out for you, you should consider a body lift until you can get all of the parts together for a suspension lift. The Suspension Lift is not a piece meal move , so have everything in front of you before starting. Another choice is a 3" body lift, again not something I like to do especially in the 3" version, but it will work for larger tires and the look of a lifted truck without the under frame clearance. A lot less money and something that CAN be reversed if needed. IF you do a body lift, make sure the kit comes with good hardware, (I'm thinking Grade 5 Bolts) don't cut corners on a body lift, get a quality kit. I am not trying to change your mind about the lift, I like my Ranger lifted on the SL Kit , I think on 33" tires it is a great lift. The rear kit didn't work for me, the SJ Springs took out the Lift Blocks, and the Shocks were wrong because, I think, my large tube rear axle (31 spline from an FX4), I needed different length shocks. Another thought... smell the smoke... Maybe a 2" Body lift for now and then the suspension lift later will end up with a lift to accept 35" tires. A double lift has been done by a few others here on this site and other sites, so something to thing about. Just how much lift are you looking for ? What size tires do you want to run ? Just asking, how much for the SL Kit... Front Kit ? Remember the SL Kit is actually two kits ! Talking too much again, good luck on your choice !
