Yes mine were basically BLOCK, and you have to use the OEM Block too !
IMHO not a good idea to use too much block, but using two blocks... NOT !
I purchased the SkyJacker 6" Leaf Springs, used no blocks, not even the OEM pieces and all is working well.

The Skyjacker rear leafs are more all ng the lines if something I could afford and would cost me about double the lift blocks and shackles instead if 5-6x as much for the Dealers. That is assuming the 1997 rear springs fit my 2000 which I'm assuming they will.
