Ahh yes, those dang type 74's.... My HVAC is those, and i hate it :( Don't want to buy those, not even entirely sure why, principle i think? :P
To fix ghosting, ground the part that ghosts, just add an extra wire in there to the frame, or something connected to it.
I dunno if that would work. Some of those lights are broken ground instead of broken hot. I found this out researching the tester which I have all but given up on seems I can't get any time on the mill to cut the board pattern. Too busy replacing servers lately LOL
