Sadly, that comment was based on a true story. Back in the mid-1970s, a relative and I had a body shop. My girlfriend's brother wanted to have some rust fixed on his 1969 Charger. I scheduled him in and he brought it by one evening and made the comment, "I cleaned it all up and gave it a good coat of wax this morning". Thought he was joking (he always kept it clean). As it turned out, it wasn't a joke... he actually WAXED the damn car the day he brought it to me. What a b*tch it was to get that Simonize off the quarter panels so I could get the paint to lay down! I could have killed him. Good times!
