Huh, that's news to me. Maybe I need to get a Glock after all.... Kidding! Kidding. Brownells is now selling retro rifles. A 601, an early 603 (XM16E1) and an M16A1. Almost forgot, also a XM177E2 with a pinned/welded muzzle device to make it non-nfa. Needless to say these aren't actual M16s, just AR-15s without the happy switch. They're going for $1,300 thus far. I expect the price to drop over a few months after they've recouped some of the tooling and what not that went into getting these set up. This spring they'll be selling a pair of AR-10 style rifles, for a bit more than the AR15s. So if you want an AR-10 that you won't feel bad about shooting, here's your deal. Meanwhile there are still no uppers in stock, but I am happy to see something other than an mlok'd or keymod plastered M4 on the market. I hope it works out well for 'em. ....I also hope they'll sell that xm177 barrel with the pinned/welded muzzle device. I'd like to build one of those for myself.
