Talk about suck. I just put a new box on it this past summer. It had 125,000 on the engine and was in great shape. I knew every inch of that rig. Had a lot of time and money into it.
Stupid thing was that i was only going 40mph, had just switched into 4 wheel drive and the front wheels grabbed black ice, I was off the gas but when those wheels caught it just spun the back end around and flipped into into ditch.
There is no excuse. It was my responsibility. Thankfully no one was hurt and only vehicle was involved.
Insurance company totaled it out. If I had the time and space I know i could get it running again. The roof was collapsed, mirrors gone, windows gone. Dented tailgate and rear bumper. But the box looked great lol. Actually the whole thing didn't look that bad to my eyes. But because of its age - it wouldn't be financially feasible for me to fix it. Sitting there amongst the other wrecks I know if i put a new battery in it it would fire but that was probably just wishful thinking
So there it is. Insurance company offered me $4,500 i am contesting.
Stinks the new Rangers don't come out until 2018 lol
