When I first joined we had the olive drab utility uniforms that we could cut down the sleeves for a short sleeve shirt. In the USAF depending on the unit there was a slow swap over to BDU's. I was stationed in Tampa FL and all we could get was the Winter weight BDU's and we were one of the first in the AF to wear BDU's.

My favorite uniform was the Chocolate Chip that I wore at Desert Storm. The military dropped that desert scheme for the DCU which we called desert pinks. The desert pinks were also cut differently and the collar was much larger and was nicknamed the Elvis shirt.

I retired in 04 just before the current camo scheme. I did have the misfortune to do a temporary duty at Robbins AFB where the unit I was supporting was the unit that got tasked with trying out the new uniform designs. They had some very bad designs and color schemes.
