Possibly, but I can't directly answer that one with full certainty. What I can say is that the ski length, variations in sidecuts over it's length (thus, turn radius), width, the stiffness, profile with regards to the shape of bottom surface (rocker, camber) and the intended usage all define the ski. Then comes the person using it which will impact what they shop for, this amounts to intended usage, skill level, body weight and height. Then perhaps take into consideration that these items direct the skier into a target ski length, but deviating is always fair game. Longer length typically means more stable at speed but harder to turn (and the converse applies). This is where reading reviews, looking at the reviews profile (ability, weight, etc etc) and ultimately doing a demo if at all possible really helps. FWIW, what I bought was slightly longer than the suggested length range for me and if I hadn't demoed and experienced them, I'd probably have not bought what Iv'e got now. That would probably have been a bit of a mistake, the time to fall is not when you're going 35+ mph.......
