I suppose there are only so many calibers one can come up with. I don't profess to know everything, and I believe I'm about to show a bit of my ignorance. You would think I would know this by heart but I don't. Talking specifically about the AR15, I'm aware that sighting in at one distance (say 50 yards) have an affect on where your rounds land when shooting at different distances. I found a chart online, and as clear and easy to digest as it is (sarcasm), I think it's missing a crucial detail. On each of the targets shown there are different colored dots standing for different distances. I have my Windham Weaponry 20" AR15A4 sighed in at 25 yards. So, therefor, is this chart telling me where my rounds will land on a target at a given distance if I aim for the center OR is it telling me where to aim on the target when I'm X distance away to hit the center? IE, If i'm shooting at 200 yards (green dot - @ 25 yard zero), does the green dot show me where my rounds will land on the target if I aim for the center, or it telling me where to put the front sight post in order to hit the center? I really hope that question makes sense, because that's the best way I could figure out how to word it. Really, this whole thing talks a lot but actually tells you (or me at least) very little. Don't even get me started on MOA.... ![]() Last edited on Wed Jan 10th, 2018 11:17 pm by TheArcticWolf1911 ____________________ 1999 Ford Ranger XLT - 3.0 V6 4x4 - Loaded (Totaled) 143k.
