I've always been a bit of a purist when it comes to 1911s. 5 inch barrel, 45 ACP, period.

But... For some reason, .38 super intrigues me. That and I wouldn't mind grabbing a .460 Rowland conversion kit for my R1 someday.

Can you tell me what's makes the .38 Super, super?
