I have seen some really good tig welding but I don't know if I would want a 1 to 3 inch welded in the middle of my wheel. A 12.50 tire can be mounted on a 8.5" wide wheel but a 10" would be better. I would also be concerned about rubbing with the front end. ProComp, Mickey Thompson, Method, and Dick Cepek all make 15x10 alloy wheels for less than $200 each. Check out 4wheelparts.com
