Just to clarify, is that meant for the OP of the thread itself or for any post contributed afterwards? And if the latter, whats the full purpose of keeping the OP of said post from editing their own works? As I would see it from a business standpoint to correct things on the fly as a means of honest damage control or to prevent an error or trumping misinformation or the likelyhood of something being conveyed or misconstrued.., take it for what it may mean to whomever. That seems a stint above "controlling" even if you can chase or track someone down for a temporary permission for that to fix something as needed or in any form of detail one should desire or require. i.e.; A group buy with the initial FIRST POST holding the list of participants and keeping it at the forefront of initial post rather than the constant saving an updated pic randomly throughout a 42 reply 5 page thread where we know very few just coming into the thread are likely to spend the time to read through 5 pages, let alone 42 replies before throwing a comment of their own into the mix. Not to go there but even FRF allows one to edit their own posts should they deem it necessary or prudent to do so. But I have not personally checked to see where the line in the sand is drawn for said permissions; Original posts or later comments just yet so, I may be premature in some of my commentary, If so my apologies.
