It isn't helped by changes in the browsers - something that was coded in years back to cope with the browsers of the day may or may not work with modern browsers, ditto the standards for html, css & javascript. One of the problems we had was caused by a tiny line of code that coped with early IE that caused modern IE to misbehave - just three words in 1000's of lines of code. I am currently working on something very simple - what happens when you press enter - the 3 main browsers do 3 different things - so I need to find a way to get them to do the same or very similar thing. Or I could just redirect any user NOT using firefox to the firefox download site ..... but Jim says I am not allowed to do that :(
