Maybe the side supports could adjust from where it is now to the top of the cab area.

Also, an adapter for a Steppie Bed !

My biggest problem is the price of accessories of this nature, usually too much !

Totally understand... It can be difficult to provide value and express quality through an advertisement of sorts, so maybe I can expand on the product in question.

Foremost, Front runner Outfitters makes not only a great product that they stand behind as proven gear from all over the world actually, they offer a 30 day money back guarantee on all of their products, and their equipment is built to last, and last long enough that you'll actually need more weekends in your year.

You made mention of some valid suggestions and thoughts and i want to address those.

- The idea of a sliding rack, I am unclear as to if you would want that as a rack that pulled out from the tailgate end of the truck in a horizontal manner or if you were thinking in a vertical manner? That one we may need to come back to.

- The reason why the rack system is set at the height it is primarily is for the option of creating a bit less drag when loaded up, especially with a rack mounted tent or other items that may extend above the cab roof line. It makes the bed insides fully accessible for the user and maintains a slim profile or cross-section. Also although I wouldn't go out of my way to load a vehicle in such a manner personally, some of the same Front Runner racks are capable of holding 1500 lbs.

Strength in our racks

Now for something more relevant of an actual cab height. We can and do offer a rack that would fit on top of a Snugtop or other brand topper and we're already working on a smaller separate rack that will mount to the top of the cab on both extra and standard cab Ford Rangers. This way you would have a roof rack separate from the bed rack and they wouldn't fight each other being bridged across the two separate portions of the chassis's. And now you could have to equal height above the roof racks, which would make for a LOT of additional storage and gear capabilities.

- As far as the sides being more functional, Front Runner makes a huge leap forward from many other just "basket style" racks by offering an amazing amount of functional add-ons to the racks that make the sides and under the rack as functional as the top of the rack itself.

A small demo of how versatile the rack is.

As we prepare for our own site launch in a few short days, I can personally spend some time showing you things that may condense down your gear to the essentials and load you out in a better way with different options for your needs and wants. We spend a great deal of time building and upfitting Overlanding and Touring rigs. I can show you some things that may over time actually save you money.

- Bike carriers
- Kayak carriers
- Roof/rack mount tents
- Recovery boards carriers; Side mount and flat mount
- Rotopax Carriers
- Awnings and over 2 dozen brackets to competitor awning fitment
- Expandable Storage bags; Using Wolf or Cub crates
- Led lighting mounts for bars, pods, and other types
- Multiple tie down points
- Axe and shovel carry points
- LP Fuel tie downs
- Dutch oven tie down; Includes the dutch oven itself
- Single and dual Jerry can mounts
- Multiple types and sizes of water storage tie downs
- A plethora of misc items to personalize the usefulness of your vehicle even further.

We would like the opportunity to throw a few ideas at your build including possible idea of a "steppie" version of the rack as well as showing you all of the options we offer from Front Runner. It could be made a little bit smaller and very useful depending on your needs and wants but then that's where creativity comes into play.

IF you wouldn't mind, PM us some contact info and one of us would be glad to give you a call or email you more information.

And I don't want it to be a spoiler just yet but, we do have ways of financing larger purchases for your convenience if things like that help. I myself have found being teased by the instant gratification fairy's and when I really wanted a few certain things, I saved up for them instead.

Let us know what interests you

PS. - I notice you're in the Temecula area. I have several clients and friends running around down there with our work into their vehicles and lived there myself for a couple years. I know an expansive amount of people in that auto mall down there.
