Find a greasy spoon hamburger/hot-dog joint. They tend to do a full cleaning of the system.

Here in Atlanta we have one called the Varsity. Two chili cheese-dogs, order of rings, frosted orange shake, and a fried apple pie will work better than half a bottle of pepto bismol.
