The FCC officially votes to kill net neutrality
Now that the vote is over, the commission will take a few weeks to make final adjustments to the rules. They'll then be filed with the Federal Register and appear there in a few months. At that point, net neutrality will officially be off the books, and these new rules (or really, the absence of any) will take effect....
Well, it would take them some months to finalize the rules and implement them. Then we will have lawsuits. There was an announcement of a multiple state lawsuit within minutes of the vote. There is also the Congressional Review Act https://www.senate.gov/CRSpubs/316e2dc1-fc69-43cc-979a-dfc24d784c08.pdf by which Congress can overturn this. So I recommend contacting your representative and senators and urge them to overlook the fat telecom paycheck that they have received and to think of the people they are supposed to represent.
