We have combat arms guys in my unit and I could probably fire whenever they had a class if I wanted to. We are allotted ammo per month for proficiency fire and quarterly for qualification. That's just for the M4 and M9 though.

The CPEC guys get to fire the Remington 700 (.308) and some of the Security Forces guys get the M249 (5.56) and M240B (7.62).
