MaDMaXX, check out this riv nut installation tool. https://www.amazon.com/Rivnut-Insert-Setting-Tool-Nutsert/dp/B01N425E7K/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1512915338&sr=8-9&keywords=rivnut+tool It is the type we used back in the late 70's when I was a new car prep tech at a Ford dealer. We used it to install the riv nuts in the roofs of station wagons for the roof racks & on the passenger side door to install mirrors on cars not equipped from the factory.
