I think it was planned, too many of them live too long.

I own 2 with no serious frame problems and can't see how they dodged that bullet. Both have the original shackles but the silver one does have the beginning of shackles decomposing.

The 4cyl I sold to my neighbor still has paint spots on the frame. I would love to win that one back.

ANDDD Chris just posted a picture of the green one I sold to my neighbor. Bought it in Cinci but most of its life was spent in KY.
