Welp, the engine sat for too long. It's gotta be bored another .030 over for a total of .060, which I kept finding conflicting answers on if it's safe. Apparently, since I have a '68 block it's a little beefier than the '78+ blocks and .060 is fine for a daily driver/mild build, which is what I plan on doing. Cheap summit aluminum heads, cheap aftermarket intake (apparently the edelbrock 289 “Torker†intake is poop), and just a stock rebuild kit for it. $450 to have the block bored, cleaned, cam bearings installed, gasket surfaces prepped, crank polished and the big ends of the rods polished, not too bad. Should be getting the motor tomorrow
