I agree, it would suck to be driving and over heat the truck and ruin the motor again. I bought the truck with high expectations that it wasn't gonna take a lot to get going and daily driven, but forgot that the truck had to overheat for some reason and didn't expect to have to dive in and fix a bunch of stuffoh well, lessons learned. Still cheaper than buying a better truck. Plus, I'm gaining experience; this was the first time I've ever done head gaskets on an engine. And yes, there's junkyards around me but the hood pins don't bother me too much at the moment. The hood is pretty beat up, the edge closest to the windshield is bent up pretty bad and there's some dents and rust. I want to get the interior torn out and get it cleaned. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited on Thu Dec 15th, 2022 12:48 am by VelociRanger ____________________ knowing when to quit is wisdom, being able to quit is courage. 1983 Ranger, reluctantly taking apart.
