Back on topic: The wife's car had dropped to 18 mpg. It is not E-84 rated as it is a European turbo 4 that is suggested for 91 octane or greater. When it got to half a tank I put in a bottle of BG44K and topped it off with 93 octane Sonoco real gas. We drove a quarter of a tank around town where the trip computer had me at 24 mpg. We made a trip into the Western Carolinas for the past week where the mileage jumped to 37 mpg for the trip up there - 121 miles. Around town up there was 23.5 and we made it back on the same tank at 38 mpg. I refueled with 93 octane Sonoco this afternoon. I have a tank of the same crap fuel in the Ranger. It is just above a half tank and there are 81 miles on the trip meter. It should be almost twice that. The Ranger is driven less than 250 miles a month. It is getting the 93 octane Sonoco real gas next fill up.
