I am immediately smelling electrical, but would need to check a couple things. Start it cold and shake some wires around under the hood, especially the cam synch plug, the plug going into the coils, the wire going to the crank sensor (be careful around the fan) I did have one with the same problem, I drove around for months with a fuel pressure gauge on the inside waiting for it to stall. Of course it waited forever. I initially thought it was a fuel pump issue. One day it finally stalled and the pressure was still up so I knew it was electrical at that point. Without monitoring things it will be harder to determine what is going wrong. Very long story made very short, the plug going into the cam synch was bad. Wiggling it made the car stall.
