Once the price goes up it never comes down. The "Black Widow" F150 is similar to the Roush program. They take a 4x4 where they change the suspension, wheels, grill, add scoops, and interior work. They are Ford approved mods so the warranty stays intact. With the dealers adding $2500 to $10,000 to suggested retail now is not the time to be buying a truck. I have pricing a new F350. What I want is available to be built by Ford but you can't find anything close to the configuration: Extended cab XLT with 7.4 Godzilla engine. Add in uplifter switches, running boards, XLT upgrade, center console/bucket seats, XLT Value package, and gooseneck prep w/ hitch. It is a $53K truck. I cannot find an extended cab F350 with a 7.4L within 500 miles and none of the dealers are taking any orders. On another note, I can also go into the F250 and configure it the same way but I have to add some options that are standard on the F350. I have tried a few different configs and the F350 has been a cheaper truck to build than the F250. As strange as that was I tried it with a F150 but used the 5.0L with all options like the F350 and it was about $4500 more coming in at $58K.
