Okay, just wanted to see if we were on the same page. The guns Cameron is referring to have custom finished furniture. Multiple coats of hand-rubbed polyurethane. These guns are from the 1960's and have been handled and cared for in the same way their entire lives with no ill effects. I can see where unsealed furniture would react differently to the oils.
