My 90 days are up at the new job, and I have spoken with the engineering crew who says they will 3D print the prototype bushings for me.
I'll post a picture while it is printing, they have one gantry model that is over 36" tall and a smaller Ultimaker.
They also have a Faro on a surface plate in our office. I had a Microscribe by my desk at the diesel place but the Faro is 20 times more accurate.

It has been five months since you posted in this thread, my assumption is... "It WAS a good project idea but Jim doesn't have the time"; Understandable !
But me, being me..., I was wondering if this is really dead ?
You mentioned getting it a 3D-Printed Bushing and I was hoping it is Printed and it is sitting on the side of your work area.
If you didn't notice I used words like... Assumption, Understandable, Wondering, Hoping... just back to thinking on NEEDED projects.
