I have the entire 31 spline torsen rear out of a Ranger. The current 7.5 is whining like crazy. If a 3.slow has torn up a 7.5 I'm sure the 8.8 will be better. And if I ever get around to putting the 5.0 in it I won't have to worry.
Is the gear ratio the same on both rears?
I have the 373 limited slip. Since I do more city driving a 410 LS would probably be better for me.
