Yeah, those home shows always have the cool stuff. Wife and I used to go on the "Parade of Homes" tour that had a map showing newly built homes that you could go see on certain evenings. I always came away from those with an idea or two to do something to our own home. Haven't been on one of them for several years now as they were all starting to look the same.
Yeah, we've done those too. Some interesting stuff. But then it never helped me with how would I do it. So all the 'DYI' shows. Those help me with if I could it myself or not, and how. Then it's left to if I have the time, or money to pay someone to do it! I prefer doing stuff myself, don't always have the time. And to be honest I don't always have the physical abilities. Getting old sucks!
