I agree with you on the CVT. My nephew has had a yearlong battle with Subaru about his Outback. They were wanting $8k to fix his CVT that was still in warranty. He had all maintenance done at the dealership when he started having transmission problems at 55k miles and finally had it resolved at 59k miles. They finally replaced it and he sold it less than a week latter. He is now in a VW AWD. He needs the AWD since he lives in NH.
